Mauro Giuliani – Guitar solos opp. 37 to 44 (The Complete Works, Volume 5)



Mauro Giuliani’s Complete Works, Volume 5 (Tecla facsimile edition) contains seven works for guitar solo first published in Vienna in 1812-14, in reprints of the first editions.  Guitar solos opp. 37 to 44. With an introduction by Brian Jeffery.

We are also happy to supply it in its clothbound version, for just a token amount more.  Clothbound in black and gold. Please be aware, however, that all copies of the clothbound version have damp marks, caused by their having been in a certain warehouse in the past.

80 pages.  First published by Tecla in 1985, reprinted in 2002.

This volume 5 contains:

  • Op. 37: Divertimenti (this is the first of three sets of easy divertimenti by Giuliani, the others being opp. 40 and 56).
  • Op. 38: Six variations on “a Schisserl und a Reindl”.
  • Op. 40: Divertimenti.
  • Op. 41: Niaiserie d’enfant varié.
  • Op. 42: Quatrième Potpourri.
  • Op. 43: Les Variétés Amusantes ou Dépôt de pièces faciles (easy pieces, of which a second part was published later as op. 54).
  • Op. 44: Twelve Ländler.
[Legibility of Volume 5: op. 41 is hard to read; the other works are mostly clear though faint in places.]
