Fernando Sor’s O Crux, ave spes unica, is a sacred choral piece for four voices, in this edition edited by Michael Fink. This is the piece which Sor provided to accompany the request that at that moment, when Sor was in Russia, was being made to Rome on his behalf for him to be admitted to the Order of the Golden Spur, the Ordine dello Speron d’Oro to which Mozart also belonged. Sor was then admitted to the Order. “O crux” is a moving and expressive work for Holy Week. In choral format. Piano accompaniment supplied for practice purposes.
