This edition, whether printed or digital, is designed to be the standard modern edition of Sor’s guitar music. There are full historical and bibliographical notes, and the edition is fully practical for performance. It was I (Brian Jeffery) who first established the full catalogue of all Sor’s guitar compositions. The complete set of eleven volumes has exactly 1000 pages. Read the introduction.

No new concert work by Sor has been discovered, to the best of my knowledge, since this eleven-volume set was published in 2004, apart from one work in a manuscript which is in a private collection and is not available for consultation, and one small charming set of variations which came to light and was described and published in facsimile by Kenneth Sparr in approximately 2009 in his online article “Two unknown guitar works by Fernando Sor”.
The complete printed set of eleven volumes of the New Complete Works for Guitar by Sor is currently available only in its paperbound version (not clothbound).
