Matthias von Holst’s Scottish Melodies for voice with guitar accompaniment are 24 well-known Scottish songs, arranged with guitar accompaniment by M. Holst (Gustav Holst’s great-grandfather). Includes “Ye banks and braes”, “Auld lang syne”, etc. The accompaniments are simple and charming. A complete reprint of the rare London edition of c. 1825-27, with a short preface by Brian Jeffery.
