The complete introduction to the series of 39 volumes, from the Introduction and Index volume.

As an example of the riches to be found in this collection, here is a video of the overture to Rossini’s Il Barbieri arranged by Giuliani for two guitars and played by Claudio Maccari and Paolo Pugliese at the Conservatorio in Alessandria, from our Giuliani Complete Works volume 24.

“Just want to say congratulations on an extraordinary job. You must be very proud.” (a musician who purchased the complete set of Giuliani, March 2012)

“The volumes are handsomely produced, with excellent concise notes and errata lists, and the music is clear and easy to read. Above all, it is a real pleasure to play this music from copies of the original editions! I look forward to many hours of enjoyment exploring this music!” (a musician, Chris Baum, April 2011)

“The Giuliani set is a treasure to be enjoyed for many years and generations to come.” (a musician, 2010)

PLEASE NOTE that we can supply the complete set of 39 volumes, but that currently volumes 11, 19, 20 and 27 are supplied each as a set of photocopies in a folder.  (That is perhaps not ideal, but it is usable for anyone who wants this music).  If you buy the complete set and if any of those volumes are later reprinted in book form as we hope, then we will supply them to you in book form at only a token price.

Also, the Two Rondos op. 68 from volume 34 will currently be supplied not in facsimile form but as our new re-engraved edition of this fine work.

Meanwhile the price of this complete set is at present lower than it would be if all the volumes were currently available in book form.

To order this set, please first send us a message via this form in order to confirm that you are happy to receive volumes 11, 19, 20 and 27 as above, and to confirm the postage cost depending on what country you are in (the set weighs 17 kg).

MORE ABOUT THIS SET

This Tecla edition of Giuliani’s Complete Works in 39 volumes is the only edition available today of the complete works of Mauro Giuliani (1781-1829), one of the classic composers for the guitar. It contains not only his guitar solos, but also his many guitar duets, guitar concerti, songs with guitar, and fine pieces for guitar with flute or violin, with piano, or with string quartet. It is published in the form of reprints of the original editions, with extensive notes. It contains an immense amount of music, some brilliant and virtuosic, and some for beginners.

Comments from musicians and customers:

“I bought a copy of Heck’s thesis in 1970. As I read through the thematic index in 1970, I was fascinated at the wealth of music which was then unknown and out of print. I thought how wonderful it would be if the music could again be made available. Now this has occurred.”

“Congratulations on a job well done”

“Remarkable … wonderful”

“I am especially delighted at Giuliani’s wonderful guitar duets and chamber music”
