Costa, Onorato

Onorato Costa was a composer of music principally for guitar, who lived in Vienna in around 1820, and whose music was published there between 1818 and 1832. He had connexions with what is now Romania, and knew something of Greek music. His Souvenir d’Orient ou Fantaisie Brillante, op. 12, for flute and guitar, includes a “Romance grecque: Ilios lambros, Soleil lumineux”.
